1 Year Later: Revisiting the Jamal Adams Trade

On July 25th, 2020, the Jets made a franchise changing trade of their best player, which expedited the rebuild process that GM Joe Douglas is in the process of. The Jets sent Jamal Adams and a 2022 4th round pick to Seattle in exchange for a 2021 1st Rounder, a 2022 1st rounder, a 2021 3rd rounder, and S Bradley McDougald. I decided to revisit this trade and how it has impacted the Jets then, now, and going forward.

It’s a been a quiet time in Florham Park as the Jets are about to open mini camp. The biggest storyline has been Jamison Crowder refusing to show up to the facility after the team asked him to take a paycut. Joe Douglas and Crowder appeared to find a middle ground as Ian Rapport reported the two sides agreed on a restructured deal before Crowder hits free agency after the season. Here’s my initial reaction to this news.

The Case for Trading for Deshaun Watson

Making the case for the New York Jets to make a franchise-altering trade for Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The New York Jets finally got a new head coach in Robert Saleh. While the hire of Saleh appears to be a great one that could eventually change the trajectory of the Jets for many years to come, the Jets still need to get a new quarterback, sooner rather than later. The best solution for the Jets to fix the current quarterback mess that they have is to trade for beleaguered Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

After a day two group that started with an expected target in WR Denzel Mims and ended with two interesting directions with S Ashtyn Davis, and EDGE Jabari Zuniga, it’ll be interesting to see what positions the Jets plan to use their remaining shots on.
