Stephen Zantz asks the question on every New York Jets fan’s mind…
Typically, my weekly piece surrounds a dive into Sam Darnold’s performance. The TOJ readers deserve something better than a dive into a 35-year-old Joe Flacco. Considering Darnold is week to week, I decided to write a glowing review about this “brilliant offensive mind” of a head coach.
Stephen Zantz breaks down Sam Darnold through 3 games on the New York Jets 2020 season
The Jets visited the Indianapolis Colts yesterday and continued to look lifeless as they have thus far this season. The Jets fell to the Colts 36-7 despite the fact Philip Rivers only played 3 quarters. Rather than the usual weekly deep dive on Sam, this week is a revisit of his first month of the season and outlook going forward.

Stephen Zantz with thoughts on the New York Jets scrimmage from yesterday….
The Jets played a game yesterday against themselves and still found a way to generate negative media attention. Le’Veon Bell was limited to 3 plays during the intrasquad scrimmage before being pulled by the coaching staff due to “hamstring tightness”. This led to Bell expressing his dissatisfaction with Gase’s decision on Twitter. Here is my initial reaction to this ugly situation.
Stephen Zantz with three trade proposals to help the New York Jets at receiver…
The Jets have a major depth problem at the receiver position. I mentioned this last week when writing about Chris Hogan signing with the team. I composed a few trade scenarios to get the Jets some help at their biggest need less than 3 weeks before kickoff.
Stephen Zantz with initial reaction to the New York Jets signing WR Chris Hogan
It’s no secret the Jets have a depth problem at the WR position. A few guys are hurt and there is a ton of inexperience in the WR room. Joe Douglas addressed this problem by signing Chris Hogan on Sunday morning. I suggested the Jets should sign Hogan back in July to get another veteran in the room. Let’s take a deep dive as to what exactly the Jets are getting in Hogan.
Stephen Zantz on what New York Jets players to target in your fantasy draft…
The Thursday night season opener is a month from yesterday. This is a weird year to even think about fantasy football, but draft season is upon us. As a lifelong Jets fan, I’ve always avoided taking Jets in my fantasy drafts given their offensive ineptitude. I selected a few Jets who are worth targeting in your draft later this month.
