TOJ Pick Six w/ Stephen Zantz (Week 8 Jets/Colts TNF)

The Pick Six column officially returns as TOJ Live Co-Host Stephen Zantz answers your Twitter questions. He, also, will consider questions that Joe Caporoso doesn’t get a chance to answer during his weekly Saturday AMAs. Don’t forget to tweet Stephen questions every week at @szantz on Twitter.

From @Sports_Fiend: What is your take on all of these Jets fans are claiming there is a QB controversy on our hands due to Mike White’s historic performance against the Bengals? Do you believe there is any validity to that if White continues to play well? This is the million dollar question right now. It’s 1 game so we need to remember that. Now, I will go onto say that this is a “what have you done for me lately?” league so anything is possible. If Mike White plays really well on Thursday against the Colts, you need to give him another week. If he falls flat on his face, this conversation dies. Saleh is trying to win and will ride the hot hand, which is why he didn’t say Zach is our starter.

From @Joehorning1: So are we trading Wilson for an entire draft class or White? Minimum of 3 1st for either. All jokes aside, Zach Wilson and Mike White aren’t going anywhere. At the very least no matter what happens going forward, Mike White has earned his roster spot and can be a backup for years. If some team is silly enough to offer a massive package for one of them, JD will listen but let’s just not even entertain this idea.

From @Mike_Mora1: Will sitting actually help Zach Wilson? Absolutely. This past Sunday was the perfect thing for Zach to see from afar. He got to see Mike White get the ball out quick and run the offense perfectly. We have gotten to a point where rookie QBs are forced to start but sometimes they truly aren’t ready. There are plenty of instances where guys who sat were able to be successful so this 3 game period will help Zach in the long term.

From @jetlife__: Thoughts on Connor being a giants fan? Honestly, no one should care about what team anyone on the beat roots for. Their job is to cover the team not be a cheerleader. Majority of reporters in sports typically don’t root for a team in the sport they cover. DJ openly admits to being a Dolphins fan, so why can’t Connor be a Giants fan? If you are going to be annoyed at someone on the beat, make sure it’s how they are covering the team and not their personal preferences.

From @mattcavadas2: No one is talking about it, but can we give praise to the O line for Sunday’s performance?! Matt, you are absolutely right. The offensive line has improved a lot since Carolina, specifically the tackle spot and AVT. I will say GVR still stinks and McGovern is okay at best but we need to give credit where it is due. AVT looks like a legitimate superstar but unless you are only watching him during the game or watching the all-22 you won’t see it. JD hit a homerun with the AVT pick and deserves praise for it.

From @jinger_kid: How much do Jets miss Loggains after the missed challenged call on the Higgins “catch”? I will speak for everyone when I say the Jets do not miss Dowell Loggains lol. Saleh did have a brain fart by not getting the challenge flag out quick enough because that CLEARLY was not a catch by Tee Higgins. That was a rookie HC moment and Saleh will learn from it. It’s probably the only bad thing he did on Sunday but it’s worth noting.
