TOJ Pick Six w/ Stephen Zantz (Week 4 Jets/TEN)

The PickSix column officially returns as TOJ Live Co-Host Stephen Zantz answers your Twitter questions. He, also, will consider questions that Joe Caporoso doesn’t get a chance to answer during his weekly Saturday AMAs. Don’t forget to tweet Stephen questions every week at @szantz on Twitter.

From @TRauch21 (Friend of the TOJ Live program): Would you rather attend the circus or a Jets home game? As it stands right now, there isn’t a huge difference between the Jets and a circus. Both are comical but right now a circus might be more entertaining than watching the Jets on offense. On a more serious note, it’s been 3 games and overall the results have not been good. I need to see signs of growth over the next month before panicking. As it stands, I’d rather go to a Jets home game but Tyson should absolutely ask me again in November.

From @JohnMurachanian: Have you listened to Benigno’s OH THE PAIN podcast? My guy Johnny Five, I was just sent the link the night before I did this column. I am a huge Joe B fan and had to check it out. Based on listening to this week’s reaction to Jets-Broncos, it’s a must listen for a Jets fan in need of comedic relief after the garbage we’ve seen the first 3 games. Joe B turns back to the clocks to his WFAN peak Jets’ monologues in the late 2000’s and early 2010s. I quoted Joe B last week on TOJ Live when Russo said the Jets would beat Denver. “From your lips to god’s ears bro.”

From @bigdoz1318: Why isn’t elijah moore more heavily targeted in the game plan. He killed the sec in the slot last year why haven’t the jets used him there to create touches. It’s frustrating and seems like gm and coaches aren’t on same page especially on offense with players drafted. I’m not sure he isn’t supposed to be part of the gameplan. Week 1 he was heavily targeted and obviously left a huge play on the field. The past two games the game script has been altered because the Jets have been down big. From what I’ve seen, Zach feels most comfortable with Corey. I think over time you will see Elijah more involved on offense. The problem is that he is most likely missing this week with a concussion. I wouldn’t panic just yet about the Elijah, the offense has been a trainwreck everywhere.

From @TheDonDada55: If the Jets continue on their current trajectory, who are some trade candidates leading up to the deadline? Crowder? Maye? Mosley? Mims? This is a good question. My immediate guess would be Denzel Mims. He clearly is in the doghouse and with Crowder slated to return soon, when is he getting on the field minus injury? Mosley isn’t going anywhere. He is been fanastic to date. Maye is a possibility as well but they need players out there and he has played well 2/3 games thus far. Given the issues we’ve seen with the receivers (drops and lack of separation), I don’t think Crowder goes anywhere unless he asks for a trade. One thing I hope they do and can potentially see is trading for a veteran backup to help Wilson out.

From @joehorning1: Is it acceptable to draft OL with the first 3 picks this? Honestly with the way the line looks right now (specifically GVR and McGovern), I couldn’t disagree with the logic. If anything 2/3 being OL and then drafting corner or edge with the 3rd pick is 100% in play. The Jets need to do everything in their to power to protect Zach Wilson and through 3 games, they have failed miserably. I will give the line the final 14 games to see if this is truly necessary. As it stands, they need another 1st rounder to be OL.

From @pragovnj: Any chance this Sunday being our first win? This question was sent to Joe C on Saturday before Denver but I will make the case for this week being a golden opportunity for the Jets. It’s been bad the first 3 weeks, let’s not sugarcoat it. The Titans are banged up. They could be without both AJ Brown and Julio Jones this weekend. Firkser has also been hurt this season. Another thing working in the Jets favor is that the Titans’ defense is abysmal. They have let up a lot of points every game so far and this will be a lot easier for Zach. If there was an opportunity for the Jets to steal a game they shouldn’t this might be it. If not, ATL in London is also a prime spot.
