In season 12 Pack is back! Predictions for Jets vs. Redskins tomorrow night…

– Sam Darnold will start and play the entire first half. He will throw for 125 yards, lead two scoring drives and commit one turnover. The buzz around his second start will roughly approximate the buzz around his first start and he will remain on track to be the starter week 1 against Detroit.

– Teddy Bridgewater will play the entire second half. He will throw for 105 yards and lead one scoring drive, while avoiding any turnovers. Bridgewater will complete over 65% of his passes and show good mobility, further bolstering his trade value.

– The Jets defense will struggle a bit in the first half, allowing multiple scoring drives to the Washington offense, failing to register any sacks and not creating any turnovers.

– Offensively, the running game will continue to fall flat as the banged up Jets offensive line will not consistently get a strong push. They will allow 2-3 sacks overall throughout the night. The unit will remain a position of concern heading into week 3 of the preseason as the Jets look to add depth via trade or the waiver wire.

– Trenton Cannon will again lead all Jets in offensive touches. Tre McBride will lead the team in receptions. Dmitri Flowers will get a longer look at fullback, including some reps with the first unit.

– Jordan Leggett will suit up, however will still run behind Clive Walford and Eric Tomlinson for reps at tight end. Making any predictions about Chris Herndon and his availability seems unwise at this point.

– Doug Middleton will see extended work with the Jets first defense, both subbing in Marcus Maye and mixing in three safety looks.

– The Jets defense will record two sacks against Washington in the second half, one from Xavier Cooper and one from Brandon Copeland. Lorenzo Mauldin will not suit up for the game.

 – Neville Hewitt will have another strong game as the backup inside linebacker, further pushing towards solidifying a roster spot. The same goes for Kevin Minter.

– Derrick Jones will intercept a pass in the second half. Xavier Coleman will struggle with extended reps in the slot due to Buster Skrine’s absence.

– The Jets will experiment with Spencer Long at guard and Travis Swanson at center for at least one series. Brent Qvale will continue filling in for Kelvin Beachum at tackle.

– It will be another quiet game for Chad Hansen and ArDarius Stewart, as they continue to run behind McBride and Charles Johnson at wide receiver. Quincy Enunwa and Terrelle Pryor will not suit up.
