We’re back with the weekly TOJ Tweet Summary. This week it was the Jets’ home opener against the Dolphins. Most expected a close game at best. Things went much different than that. Let’s see how the game with through on #JetsTwitter on Sunday.
Hard to be “pro-tank” when the Dolphins are in town…
— Kyle Herman (@asvpgoat) September 24, 2017
After trading punts the Jets had a 10 play drive that ended in a missed field goal. Can’t blame fans for getting a little negative early.

Severe case of sadness below…poor guy…
Jets defensive continues to dominate early on and the Jets finally get on the board with a field goal.
Defense looking good so far #jets

The 40-yard field goal by Catanzaro is good!! 3-0 #Jets!! ✈🏈
— Dwight Rodwell (@DwightRodwell) September 24, 2017
Then more Jets defensive dominance. Featuring: The Jamal Adams show
Are you watching this Jets game? Are you watching Jamal Adams absolutely dominating? Cuz, me too. Wow. #MIAvsNYJ
— Olivia Landis (@livlandisjets) September 24, 2017
Need a Jamal Adams jersey, kid is amazing!
— Chris Keller (@_kellerc2) September 24, 2017
Jamal Adams is gonna be a stud. What a break on the ball there! #Jets
— Kwame Settles (@PrimetimeKCS) September 24, 2017
Jamal Adams comes from seemingly nowhere to break up a long Jay Cutler pass. Sacks Cutler on a safety blitz the next play. What a sequence.
— Andy Vasquez (@andy_vasquez) September 24, 2017
Then on offense, McCown finds Robby Anderson roasting Dolphins DB’s and connects for a 69 yard touchdown pass.
Josh McCown airs it out DEEP to Robby Anderson for the #Jets TD!
Yes, that did happen.pic.twitter.com/rGgfau853U

McCown with the butter, Anderson with the toast #MIAvsNYJ
— Artie Dromerhauser (@ADhouseofdrums) September 24, 2017
McCown to Robbie Anderson in stride … whaaaat !
— David Otero (@DColeNY) September 24, 2017
A little shade…
#Jets TD! McCown finds Robbie Anderson! Longest play we've seen in NY this year!
— Bruce Beck (@BruceBeck4NY) September 24, 2017
— Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) September 24, 2017
Starting the second half, Jets defense forces Dolphins into another 3 and out (courtesy of Terrence Brooks) and then defense helps the offense drive for another TD to make it 17-0.
Terrence Brooks delivers the big hit to break up that pass #nyj
— Brian Costello (@BrianCoz) September 24, 2017
Holy! The Jets threw a third-and-1 pass to DL Lawrence Thomas, who lined up as a fullback. And he went for 15 yard,s nearly scoring. #Jets
— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) September 24, 2017
#Jets just completed a 3rd and 1 pass to Lawrence Thomas for a huge gain. Today may be their day.
— Joe Caporoso (@JCaporoso) September 24, 2017
Lawrence Thomas carrying the rock! Eat big fella!!! #Jets
— depressed yankees fan (@MiguelNYC_) September 24, 2017
Powell!! 1 yard TD run!! 17-0 Jets!!
— Kurtis Ludden (@kurtludden19) September 24, 2017
#Jets now have a 17-0 lead after a 1-yard TD run by Bilal Powell with 9:49 left in the third quarter. It is Powell's first TD of the season.
— Chris Mascaro (@CCMascaro) September 24, 2017
Jets stop the Dolphins offense one more time. Then on special teams, they spot the Dolphins’ fake pre-snap and Terrence Brooks gets an INT.
Terrence Brooks knocked down Cutler on third down and gets the INT on the fake punt.
— Calvin Watkins (@calvinwatkins) September 24, 2017
The best thing to happen to the #Dolphins so far is the Jets player intercepting the fake punt instead of dropping it.
— spot (@spizotfl) September 24, 2017
— Chris Mascaro (@CCMascaro) September 24, 2017
The Jets KNEW that was a fake punt. Lol
— BYUNLVfan (@RunninRebDHumes) September 24, 2017
Jets added field goal to make it 20-0. Then the defensive clinic continued, bookmarked with Jamal Adams getting a penalty for hurting Jay Cutler’s feelings and another Terrence Brooks INT.
Such a great open field tackle from Stamford.
David Bass showing some reallyyy nice signs early
— Sean Walsh (@WalshNYJets) September 24, 2017
— Gary Phillips (@GaryHPhillips) September 24, 2017
Don't mind that penalty on Adams, that's just pure passion
— Chad (@Longtimegreen) September 24, 2017
It seems Jamal Adams said something mean to Jay Cutler after a sack. But it's kind of hard to hear from up here.
— Joe Schad (@schadjoe) September 24, 2017
HE SAID HE’S TRASH!! (According to my anonymous and fictional sources)
— David 💧 (@D_mvrt) September 24, 2017
Brooks gets his 2nd INT today on a pitiful Cutler throw forced to Landry. #Jets defense still hasn't let up a point.
— Shane Connelly (@SConnelly53) September 24, 2017
In the end, Jets win 20-7 and everyone was in good spirits…
Great win today! GO JETS! pic.twitter.com/9VXjv7i7Vp

I told you the jets would win enough games to screw themselves out of a decent draft pick..can't even tank a season right
— Mark Gentile (@MarkGentile11) September 24, 2017
I actually root for the jets to lose this year. I want us to tank so we can get Sam Darnold. Typical jets, win when I want a loss. Fins suck
— Jared Silverman (@JaredKENS5) September 24, 2017
One thing we can all agree on. There’s been a consistent positive every week so far. He wears #33 on the back of his jersey.
Jamal Adams is a monster and seeing him in person was a great experience. I'm all in on the young talent on the Jets defense.
