Rediscovering The MetLife Stadium

As you may already know, the MetLife Stadium which is located at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, US, is one of the most amazing American football stadiums ever built. This is also the only National Football League stadium that is the home to two teams, which are the New York Jets and the New York Giants. When it opened on April 10 2010, this second largest stadium in the NFL was known as the New Meadowlands Stadium. The MetLife insurance company that is based in New York acquired the naming rights to the Stadium, back in 2011 for 25 years at the cost of $17 to $20 million annually. Having a construction cost of nearly 1.6 billion makes this Stadium the most expensive one ever built.

This year the preseason will kick off on Sunday 9th of August, and we know that during this period everyone is eager for the next NFL Regular Season to start once again. During this lapse of time between the preseason and the new season, or even during the NFL, you can however keep your sporting spirit high by trying out various sports themed online slots games at Magical Vegas, the popular online casino. Magical Vegas offers a whole range of online slots, video poker, blackjack, roulette, and live casino games. The impressive collection of slot games from top game providers available at this leading online casino cater to the liking of everyone. Players can find slot games themed from Magic and Myth to Sports. Some of the most popular sport themed online slot machines at Magical Vegas include Cricket Star, Cup Carnaval, Fisticuffs, Football Star, Gold Trophy 2, Golden Goal, and Winbledon.

The stadium can be distinguished by an outer skin of aluminium louvers that has a total linear length of exactly 50 kilometres, and also its interior lighting switches colours to delineate which team is playing at home; green for the Jets and blue for the Giants. Another distinguishable feature about this stadium is the fact that it does not have a roof and in 2014, it was home to the first Super Bowl to be played at an outdoor stadium in a cold climate. The field of MetLife is covered in a material known as FieldTurf, and the primary difference between this turf to other artificial turfs is the infill they use, which is composed of several layers of silica sand.

The MetLife Stadium is part of the Meadowlands Sports Complex that also include the Quest Diagnostic Training Centre, The American Dream Meadowlands, the Meadowlands Racetrack, and the Izod Centre. The Stadium has a seating capacity of 82,566 spectators in four levels that enclose the stadium and 27,500 parking spaces. There are 9,200 club seats and 117 luxury suites at the MetLife. There are 2 clubs areas known as the Coach’s Club which has a 20,000 square foot bar and lounge on the field deck, and the mezzanine level club where fans can enjoy a variety of food and beverages.

With more than 2.1 million of square feet, the MetLife Stadium is definitely one of the best place where you can enjoy your favourite American football matches, along with other events. Some of the other most notable moments of this stadium are the Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb 2 2014 and the Wrestlemania 29 on April 7 2013.
