TOJ New York Jets Link Dump – July 15th, 2014

– There has been so much talk about the receivers the Jets drafted that Eric Decker has pretty much flown under the radar, but come opening day, all of the focus will be on Decker and we will find out if he was worth the big contract he received. (OJT)

– The best part of the Jets’ defense is the defensive line. Yes, the players are very skilled and deserve a lot of credit, but the man who also deserves credit is the man who has cultivated their talents — Karl Dunbar. (OJT)

– Calvin Pryor came in at number 18 on Rant Sports’ countdown of the top 25 players on the Jets’ roster. I’m a little late in sharing this list with all of you as it is eight players in, but the links to the first seven players are on this page as well. (RS)

– The defense is definitely the strength of the Jets, but there still are a few questions that need to be answered. (EXA)

– Cortland is getting ready for the Jets as training camp is now very, very close (seven days until veterans report — six days for rookies). (TWC)

– Here is Rich Cimini’s positional breakdown of the day — tight end. (ESPN)

– I was on the fence about posting this link — someone started a petition to get our buddy removed as ESPN’s Jets writer. If you want to add your name to that petition, here you go.

– Over the past few seasons, penciling the Patriots in as AFC East winners prior to the start of the season was a pretty safe bet. This year? Maybe not. Please comment your thoughts on this article, curious to see what you all think. This was just the offensive comparison; the defensive comparison is likely to follow shortly.
