Counting down the days until the New York Jets season starts with reasons to be excited for 2013…welcome summer!

Here at Turn On The Jets, we decided to take a page out of Robert Mays book over at Grantland (a polite way of saying rip his article idea off) by counting down the 115 days until the New York Jets kick off, with a daily reason to get excited about their return. Mays has the whole NFL to work with, we only have the Goddamn Jets…now there is a challenge, step your game up Mays! Also check out some of the best broadband deals!

We continue today with a warm welcome to the summer (Note, you can track this entire series right here)

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! What should you Jets fans be ready to look forward to this summer?

Getting too excited about players like this!

Non-Stories being made into storiesevery single day

Unfortunately, not this…seriously HBO has no prayer to ever top the Jets season of Hard Knocks

A trip to luxurious upstate New York?

Or maybe just a trip down to the Jersey Shore, where you most certainly won’t see this

Enjoy the weekend!

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS STORY PITCH OF THE DAY – 800 words on Geno Smith spending his Memorial Day Weekend looking for an apartment in North Jersey. Manish Mehta claims to have heard from somebody who drives on Route 287 occasionally that Smith is considering an apartment in Morristown, clearly this shows “a lack of focus and discipline. Why would Smith want to live near all those bars and college kids? Shouldn’t he be living in Livingston or something? This is a clearly a red flag on his future development as a serious, mature athlete.”

RANDOM JET TO REMEMBER OF THE DAY! – MARK BROWN! – The Paterson, New Jersey native who played linebacker for the Jets in 2004 and 2005, including scoring a touchdown in the team’s 2005 season finale against Buffalo.
