Jared Scherl breaks down Josh McCown’s performance through three games
Through three weeks, Josh Mccown has been exactly the player he was expected to be. He’s shown a decent command of the playbook and the ability to stretch the field when necessary. On Sunday, the Jets dominated the Dolphins behind a 249 yard, 1 TD performance from Mccown. But while his high level of play is encouraging in the short term, is it in the best interest for the franchise as a whole?
Mike Nash with three up and three down for the New York Jets week 3 win
After struggling the first two weeks of the season, the Jets dominated the Miami Dolphins in the team’s home opener, winning by the score of 20-6. This week, it was not easy to come up with three players who deserve to be on the “down” list.
Joe Malfa with his weekly rankings of the top quarterbacks in college football
The writing is on the wall for the New York Jets in 2017. Gang Green is pretty much a lock to land a top-five pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, although the tank took a bit of a turn on Sunday with a win against the Dolphins.
Joe Malfa kept a close eye on the performances of college’s top quarterback prospects this week, since one may very well be the franchise’s savior (or next great bust).
Here are the rankings ahead of Week 5:
Joe Caporoso with a film breakdown of the New York Jets week 3 win over the Miami Dolphins
We are back with another TOJ New York Jets film breakdown. Check out previous editions right here. On to the #tape…
Josh McCown is 38 years old. However, even at this age, he is showing signs of life that are hard to ignore. In the game, his signature moment came when he flung a 69-yard bomb towards Roby Anderson. This fling bore a close resemblance to the one Ken O’Brien made to Wesley Walker a while back. His arm suffered no backlash at all. He kept on slinging the ball giving the Jets their first win of this season. This bold piece of play endeared him to both his coach and his teammates.

Joe Caporoso with a New York Jets Victory Monday GIF Dump for their 20-6 win over the Miami Dolphins
Only winners get wings…and GIFs. The New York Jets won their first game of the season yesterday, so instead of a day after vent, let’s celebrate with some highlights and snarky commentary.
Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 20-6 dominating win over the Miami Dolphins
The New York Jets dominated in their home opener today against the Miami Dolphins, cruising to a 20-6 victory that was not as close as the score looked. This was a clinic in all three phases of the game, particularly on defense where the Jets completely smothered a listless Jay Cutler led Miami Dolphins offense. Considering the talent disparity and how highly regarded Adam Gase is around the league, it is fair to argue this was one of Todd Bowles’ best days at the office as the Jets Head Coach, if not his best.
