Dalbin Osorio with six players the New York Jets can target with their 2018 cap space
With this article by ESPN’s Rich Cimini, eyes have now began to turn towards the 2018 offseason and a coffer filled with close to $80 million for the New York Jets. The team does not have many long term contracts, and it is a team that will now sink or swim with Christian Hackenberg, Darron Lee, Leo Williams, Quincy Enunwa, Brian Winters, and the Alpha of this team Jamal Adams. Gone are the veterans of this team, but you get the feeling that the Jets will not ignore free agency next year.
I can almost guarantee that the Jets will look to make a splash, if for no other reason than to meet the spending floor, and that guarantee will most likely be magnified if they decide to clean house one more time and fire their General Manager and Head Coach after only three seasons. Either way, expect them to spend, and here are six guys the Jets could look to target next offseason if they hit the market, who could be wearing a betfair new jersey in 2018.

Scott Mason tries to broker the peace between New York Jets fans when it comes to Christian Hackenberg
There seems to be a bit of a Civil War brewing among Jets fans over the team’s 2016 second round pick, former PSU QB Christian Hackenberg.
Jets fans have had plenty of lively internal debates over the years, but it has been a while since I have seen so much friction between members of the fan base about a player who has never played in an NFL game before. Even Geno Smith – controversial as his selection was – didn’t seem to engender this much friction among those who bleed green and white.
In case you haven’t been paying particularly close attention to the bones of contention between these factions of the gang green faithful, here is a quick Cliff Notes version of the four main groups when it comes to all things Christian Hackenberg:
Joe Caporoso on why record does not always reflect talent level
The New York Jets are widely predicted to be one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2017. Despite optimism on the potential of many players drafted in 2015 and 2016, they are unproven at a high number of positions. It is fair to argue they have the least talented roster in the NFL. Yet, talent doesn’t always match record output.
David Aitken breaks down the New York Jets great rebuild experiment and if Woody Johnson will have patience for it…
With the Jets cutting two of the best remaining veterans on the roster, Operation #JetsTank has officially begun. But let’s be honest, you probably already knew they were there. The big question is: will it go according to plan?
