Initial Reaction – You Know What You Need To Do

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 0-4 start…

Fire the entire coaching staff.

The Jets lost handily to a team more decimated by injuries than them and to a third string quarterback, making his first career start…on the road…on a short week. If it wasn’t for the run of Sam Darnold’s life and a gimme pick six, the Jets lose this game by about 20 points. As currently constructed, 0-16 is on the table for this team. Their offense cannot score more than one touchdown per game. Their quarterback can’t crack a YPA of 6. Their defense can’t tackle or avoid getting personal fouls every series. They have the worst coaching staff in the NFL with a weak roster curated to their “strengths.”

If they don’t fire Adam Gase tomorrow, the Jets deserve every bit of the potential 0-16 embarrassment that may be on the way…

State of New York Jets Quarterback Position After Month 1

Stephen Zantz breaks down Sam Darnold through 3 games on the New York Jets 2020 season

The Jets visited the Indianapolis Colts yesterday and continued to look lifeless as they have thus far this season. The Jets fell to the Colts 36-7 despite the fact Philip Rivers only played 3 quarters. Rather than the usual weekly deep dive on Sam, this week is a revisit of his first month of the season and outlook going forward.

Matt’s Week Three Takes – Hoping For A Jets Loss Thursday Night

Matt Marcinao with his thoughts and review of the New York Jets week 3 blowout loss

Covering the Jets in a weekly column after one of their games this season has been rather easy and could almost be a column where I cut and paste my thoughts from my previous column from the week before as almost nothing has changed from the week before. Here are some the same storylines that have come and go each and every week – Sam Darnold has regressed and does not look like a franchise quarterback in this league, the Jets defense has been a mess since the departure of Jamal Adams and have I mentioned before the Adam Gase should have never been hired as the Jets head coach and needs to be fired yesterday?

Initial Reaction – It Is Over

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to another New York Jets blowout loss, this time to the Indianapolis Colts

For the second week in a row, I have the luxury of writing this article halfway through the fourth quarter. I could have started it earlier. The Jets are going to lose by more than 20 points (again). The Jets are going to score less than 20 points (again). The Jets season is over in September (again). The only silver lining is renewed rumors of Adam Gase potentially being fired in season if he can’t beat the hobbled, 0-3 Denver Broncos this Thursday Night (GO DENVER, BABY).
