Initial Reaction – That’s A Wrap Rex, Part Two!

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to another dumpster fire loss for the New York Jets

Unfortunately, I can basically just copy and paste my initial reaction article to the New York Jets game against the Buffalo Bills back in week 8. The Jets had a pathetic no show tonight against, losing 38-3. They were trounced from the opening snap to the final whistle, looking listless and unprepared. Rex Ryan is now 1-5 after a bye week, 2-13 after his last 15 wins, 14-19 against the AFC East, 16-30 in his last 46 games with 12 (12!) losses by 20 points or more, including three to these Bills. I thought he may make a final push to keep his job but I was wrong, Rex is done. He is what he is: Mike Smith with a worse record and a better personality. Tonight’s effort merited him being fired tomorrow, he won’t be but the performance merited it.
