New York Jets Week 1 Secondary Review – 300 Yards For Josh Allen…

Michael Meegsn with his week 1 review of the New York Jets secondary…

Josh Allen eviscerated the Jets secondary on Sunday.  He completed 70 percent of his passes for 312 yards and two TDs.  Frankly it should have been even more as Allen missed some wide open throws in the second half.  The secondary was always a work in progress especially after the Jamal Adams trade but they need to be way more disciplined going forward then they showed on Sunday.  Time to hand out some awards!

New York Jets 1st & 10: Painful Season Opening Loss in Buffalo

Stephen Russo goes 1st and 10 on the New York Jets week one loss to the Buffalo Bills…

1st…

Allow me to preface everything I will write from here with this: it is just one game. I will not look to fill the air (or the page) with excuses, because we really don’t care, we just want results. However, the facts are the facts. This was a season opener after the strangest offseason in history with a completely new offensive line and basically a new receiving corps against a very good opponent. So, I will not be hitting the panic button just yet… but damnit I am close.

Initial Reaction – Why Would You Think Anything Changed? Bills Crush Jets To Open Season

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets

The New York Jets decided continuity was important for quarterback Sam Darnold heading into year three, at least when it came to coaching. Head Coach Adam Gase was brought back as the de facto Offensive Coordinator, Dowell Loggains was brought back as the Offensive Coordinator but as the de facto Quarterbacks Coach, a position the Jets left officially vacant again. They were going to run the same system and trust more time would make it better and hope in year five that Gase and his system would finally click together and work wonders for Darnold…

New York Jets Offensive Line 2020 Preview

Joe Belic with a deep dive preview of the New York Jets offensive line…

The offensive line hasn’t received much praise this preseason, which isn’t surprising, considering it’s comprised of five players who have never played a single snap together. Strong play up front is established through continuity and, given the current state of the world coupled with an unorthodox training camp, the situation is disconcerting. However, the unit isn’t lost, and there is a chance the line meshes and functions cohesively—hopefully, prior to Week 1.  Still, growing pains are expected, and with an opening schedule featuring dominant defensive fronts, the cause for concern remains justified.

Should the fanbase be worried?

Can they pull it together?
