Jake Benaquisto with his best bets for week 9 of the 2017 NFL season
Week 8 Recap: Back in business! After an awful week 7, I went 4-1 ATS last week and my record is now 21-19. I would have gone 5-0 if Travis Benjamin on the Chargers didn’t run 10 yards backwards on a punt return to give the Patriots two easy points and the cover.

Week 7 Recap: Not very fun. I went 0-5, which puts my record at 17-18 for the season. I knew that when I had to root for Andy Dalton to come back against the Steelers, I probably deserved to lose.

Week 6 Recap: Fourth winning week in a row. 3-2 last week, and now I’m 17-13 against the spread for the season. There’s only a handful of decent games this week, but regardless I’ll spend my entire Sunday watching football. (more…)

Week 5 Recap: My third winning week in a row. I went 3-2 again, so my record now stands at 14-11. This week, I’m going NFC heavy on my picks and am hoping that the Rams don’t let me down again.

Week 4 Recap: Another winner! I went 3-2 on my picks, but I should have gone 2-3 if it wasn’t for an incredible back door cover by the Chiefs. My record is now 11-9, which I can’t complain about in an NFL season where the Rams and Bills are actually good. Week 3 Recap: After an awful week 2, I went 4-1 on my picks and my record for the season now stands at 8-7. My only loss came from the Packers, who won but couldn’t cover the big spread. This week, I’m taking mostly home teams as I try to pull off my second winning week in a row. If you are looking to take part in any of the action, check out Best USA Friendly Sportsbooks right here!

Week 2 Recap: It wasn’t pretty. I went 1-4 against the spread, and my record for the season is now 4-6. The Cardinals are a lot worse than I thought, as it took a Colts collapse in overtime for them to win without covering. Additionally, I made the mistake to take the Vikings +5.5 before the team announced that Sam Bradford was injured. Dallas and New Orleans also lost convincingly, so I’m thankful that Tampa Bay came through for me and covered.

Week One Recap: I went 3-2 last week, thanks to wins from the Eagles, Rams and a comeback cover by the Chargers on Monday Night Football. The Seahawks losing because of their offensive line was not a huge surprise, but I expected the Titans to put up a lot more points against the Raiders defense. Let’s see if I can keep my record above .500 as we head into week two…

The Jets are going to be a tough watch this year. I’m rooting for the tank as much as anyone, but suffering through a quarterback carousel that features Josh McCown, Bryce Petty, and Christian Hackenberg is going to be brutal. Having said this, I thought it’d be fun to write a weekly column where I give my five best NFL picks against the spread. Feel free to send me any insults and/or death threats when I inevitably go 0-5.
Joe Caporoso with his week 8 NFL Picks and DFS suggestions
I’ve been cooking this season with NFL picks, so I decided to make it a more regular thing before the bottom inevitably falls out.
