Joe Caporoso with a 12 Pack of Jets observations and NFL Predictions heading into Wild Card Weekend
Last week we wrapped up our New York Jets predictions for the season. Against the spread, we went 10-6 and on wins and losses we came out to 8-8. However, similar to the Jets front office we believe that is an ascending 8-8 and we are headed in the right direction. Here is a collection of predictions for Wild-Card Weekend and a few off-season thoughts on the Jets…

Joe Caporoso with an overview of the New York Jets needs this off-season
This off-season will provide General Manager John Idzik an opportunity to make his imprint on the New York Jets. Flush with cap space (likely somewhere between 40-50 million dollars) and draft picks (likely 12 total after compensatory selections are handed out), Idzik will have the assets to address the team’s many roster holes. Let’s take an initial inventory of the Jets needs, position by position and examine how they could potentially attack their weaknesses.

Initial reaction to the Jets 24-13 win over the Cleveland Browns
It was a good day at MetLife Stadium. The New York Jets finished up the season 6-2 at home with an encouraging 24-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns. More important than the victory, was the performance of rookie quarterback Geno Smith, rookie cornerback Dee Milliner and rookie guard Brian Winters.

Joe Caporoso with 12 predictions for Jets vs. Browns
The New York Jets host the Cleveland Browns in the their final home game of the 2013 regular season. MetLife Stadium has been kind to the team this year, as they currently hold a 5-2 record at home, including upset victories over the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints. While the game is “meaningless” since it involves two teams out of playoff contention, let’s hope the Jets can do something they haven’t done the past two seasons, finish strong.

Dan Marcus and Joe Caporoso discuss Rex Ryan’s future with the New York Jets
The below article was originally submitted by Dan Marcus and inspired editor Joe Caporoso to leave a response at the bottom in italics. Later in the week, our Cole Patterson and Dalbin Osorio will debate the Rex Ryan question as well, which promises to be a dominant one over the next month or so.
There was a point yesterday when I thought the Jets would actually pull it out right after “Riverboat Ron” essentially spat in the face of the offense and the defense for that matter and the momentum was shifting in a big way, culminated by a Sheldon “Fridge”-ardson Touchdown. However, in the grand fashion of the Jets, they proceeded to throw up all over themselves and turned a three-point game into a 17-point deficit before you could even blink. In a way, it was an all-too-fitting end to a season that many thought to be doomed before it ever started but somehow, despite a fundamental lack of talent, they put themselves in a position to contend for the final playoff spot in the AFC.

Joe Caporoso reviews “Collision Low Crossers” by Nicholas Dawidoff. A must read for any Jets fan
I just finished up Collision Low Crossers by Nicholas Dawidoff, which I highly recommend for any New York Jets fan. Dawidoff spent the entire 2011 season with the team, predominantly with the defensive coaching staff. This book provides unparalleled access and a unique perspective since the author is not a sportswriter and came in with limited knowledge of football. Here are a few observations but again, go read it yourself…
