Connor Rogers grades the Jets linebackers for week six.
The Jets suffered a tough loss to a Pittsburgh Steeler team looking for their first win of the season in week six. Although gang green did not get the job done, the front seven put out an impressive display in the trenches against the run yet again. Was the pass rush enough to warrant good grades? Let’s take a look. Continue reading “New York Jets – Week 6 Linebacker Grade Sheet”
After a stunning week five win in Atlanta, the Jets are beginning to turn heads in the NFL. A big reason for their surprising success has been the superb play from Rex Ryan’s defense. Team’s are struggling to develop any type of ground game against the Jets, which is also limiting their aerial attack (no development of play action). The Jets linebackers were finally tested against not only the run in week five, but also the pass. Let’s see how they did: Continue reading “New York Jets Week 5 – Linebacker Grade Sheet”
It’s Friday and we’ve all had almost a full week to soak in and analyze that disaster of a game last week in Tennessee. This week our boys in green are traveling down to Atlanta for a primetime game against the Falcons in a game in which they’re double digit underdogs. Yikes. Let’s get to buying and selling and seeing what we can look forward to on Monday night Continue reading “TOJ Stock Watch – Week 5 Edition”
The New York Jets travel to Atlanta to take on the defending NFC South Champion Atlanta Falcons, who are off to a disappointing 1-3 start after their loss to the New England Patriots last week. The Jets will try to bounce back from their loss at the hands of the AFC South co-leading Tennessee Titans. Let’s get to know the Jets week 5 opponent..

Turn On The Jets Week 4 NFL Gambling and Fantasy Football Outlook
Well, it’s Week 4 and things haven’t quite gone as planned so far here with my weekly picks. The visions I had dancing in my head of starting the season on fire and having all our readers begging for my picks haven’t quite materialized… yet! Ok, ok, that’s probably never going to happen, and you may be better off fading me at this point, but I feel it all turning around this week! There’s plenty of room left here on the bandwagon (current occupancy: 1).
And to shake things up this week, I’m not gonna just give my reasons for why each team will cover. Instead, I’m gonna also break things down by giving my fantasy football takes on each game and which players you should be thinking about starting or sitting when Sunday afternoon rolls around. You’re welcome.

Mike Donnelly with Week 3 gambling advice on all of the NFL action.
After going 8-8 last week on the heels of Week 1’s mini disaster, things are starting to look up for me as we head into Week 3. This is the time of the season when you start to get a feel for teams but unfortunately so do the Las Vegas bookmakers and the lines become increasingly difficult. Let’s see if we can go ahead and beat them this week and make a few bucks… you know, if gambling were legal and all. Continue reading “TOJ – Week 3 NFL Gambling Advice”
Mike Donnelly with a Turn On The Jets Stock Watch – Buying and Selling New York Jets, heading into Week 3
After a disappointing 3-point loss to the New England Patriots last Thursday, the New York Jets are facing an early season “must win” against the Buffalo Bills this week if they’re going to have any hope of putting together a winning season. This is a winnable game at home against a team very much in the same boat as them, with a rookie quarterback and a solid defense. In fact, it’s nearly the same exact defense since it’s being coached by Rex Ryan’s pupil, Mike Pettine. Let’s jump right in to this week’s Stock Watch and do some buying and selling as we prepare for week 3. Continue reading “Turn On The Jets Stock Watch – Week 3 Edition”
Mike Donnelly with week 1 NFL Fantasy and Gambling Advice
Well look what we have here. The Turn On The Jets gambling column has found a new home in 2013 and it is right here in Donnellyville. Joe searched high and low for the most degenerate gambler he could find, and he picked me. I’m honored. I truly am. Each week I’m going to run down all the games and give a brief synopsis on why I’m picking who I am. Then I’m going to give you my 5 “Best Bets” which are typically the games I’m going to be betting on myself and the “Teaser of the Week”. Yes, teasers are usually sucker bets, but they’re fun, and every once in a while I nail a good one. Then afterwards, I’m gonna give my fantasy football advice for the week. You’re welcome. Let’s get started. Continue reading “TOJ – Week 1 Gambling and Fantasy Football Advice”
Mike Donnely with a Turn On The Jets Stock Watch previewing the 2013 New York Jets Season
The New York Jets 2013 season is still three days from kicking off, but to hear the experts tell it, the season is already over. The Jets are the worst team in the league, there’s no hope, they probably shouldn’t even bother to show up on Sundays. They should just forfeit each game and spare the world three hours of having to watch the worst football team ever assembled. We’ve heard it all, but I don’t necessarily believe all that fuss. In my opinion, the Jets have actually improved over the 6-10 team they fielded a year ago, and I don’t really understand where all the “LOL, Jets will draft Clowney” stuff comes from. They’ve added a real offensive coordinator, some capable running backs, Santonio Holmes is back, and the defense has the potential to be excellent. Mike Donnelly with a Turn On The Jets Stock Watch previewing the New York Jets pre-season
Ahh, the start of NFL football, it is the most wonderful time of the year! Like little kids patiently waiting on Christmas Eve to open presents the next morning, New York Jets fans everywhere are giddy with anticipation as we prepare ourselves to open up our presents in a mere few hours and see what Santa brought us this football season. Will we open some shiny boxes and find our very own diamond in the rough like Victor Cruz this preseason (Ryan Spadola?), or will we get more lumps of Gholston (Vlad Ducasse)? Will Geno Smith shine as the latest in a long line of possible savior quarterbacks? Or will Mark Sanchez beat him out and try to bounce back from a disastrous 2012?
