For 30 of the 32 teams, we are at the quarter-mark of the season. There are still many games to be played but why not have some fun during this rough stretch as Jets fans? Using the current (unofficial) order with strength of schedule being the tie-breaker, here goes my best shot upgrading each team.

Clay’s NFL Draft Cheat Sheet – Week 1 Edition

Throughout the 2018 season, I will be starting a weekly rundown of the 2019 NFL Draft prospects, particularly ones that would look nice in the new Jets jerseys next season. So there won’t be much on players like Jonathan Taylor, Cam Akers, Najee Harris or really any members of the amazing 2020 running back class. However, there will be big name prospects, middle round prospects, and some prospects that you may never even heard of. With today being the first official Saturday of the college football season, what better way to start than to give you a quick overview on some of the top players and matchups of week 1, my first (monthly) top 10 big board and a special CFB Playoff and Heisman predictions.

New York Jets 2019 Draft Watchlist: Volume II, RBs Edition

When the New York Jets gave Isaiah Crowell a modest three year, $12 million deal this offseason, they essentially slapped a band aid on their running back group.

Crowell, who is offered very minimal guaranteed money beyond this season, is a fine player to pair with Bilal Powell in the backfield.

Fine: not spectacular, not poor – just mediocre. With the 29 year old Powell set to hit free agency after this year, the position is a key spot to watch for the 2019 offseason as the unit could undergo a makeover.

With that note, the college football season and running back draft class will be a vital area to watch this year. Here are a few early names to put the spotlight on for your watchlist.

NFL Draft Future Stars – Ed Oliver, DL, Houston

Connor Rogers with an early look at prospective stars in the 2019 NFL Draft, starting with Houston DL Ed Oliver…

The 2018 NFL Draft is in the books, but it’s never too early to get a jump on next year’s class. The Future Stars series will cover a handful of the top players in college football that have very good odds of going in the top half of next year’s first round.

First up is Ed Oliver, a rare prospect out of Houston that will make the Cougars defense must-watch football every weekend this Fall.
