New York Jets Loss Vent – Week 3 vs. Cleveland Edition

Joe Caporoso with a loss vent on the New York Jets getting beat by the Cleveland Browns

EVERYBODY PANIC! Darnold is a bust. Todd Bowles must go. Jeremy Bates is a younger Brian Schottenheimer. Leonard Williams is overrated. Robby Anderson must be traded. If only Josh McCown or Teddy Bridgewater were under center, the Jets would be a glorious 3-0 rolling towards a AFC East title! What is one to do from here outside of folding up the franchise or moving them to London to take Wembley Stadium over under Woody Johnson’s watchful eye?

Initial Reaction – Jets Become *That* Team, Lose To Baker Led Browns

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 21-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns

The New York Jets ended the Cleveland Browns win drought tonight by blowing a 14-0 lead on the road to rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield (it shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody that he looked good), who relieved Tyrod  Taylor after a second quarter injury. Like many Thursday Night games, this was an ugly, sloppy one at times but the Jets looked gassed, unprepared and lackadaisical after taking their early lead. This season is about Sam Darnold’s development more than anything else and tonight was a rough patch in that learning curve as he struggled throughout the game, while also concurrently being let down by his supporting cast. The defense started fast but faded down the stretch and was bullied with the game on the line in the fourth quarter.
