Joe Caporoso with an initial reaction/loss vent to the New York Jets week 2 defeat to the Cleveland Browns

Was there any moment in the game tonight you thought the New York Jets had a chance to win? Despite a sloppy, inconsistent effort from the Cleveland Browns, there was never any doubt who was in control of this game from the opening minute. It sputtered along to a 23-3 loss for the New York Jets, who have now lost one fourth of their 2019 home games by mid September and have lost seven straight at home dating back to last year. With upcoming games against New England, Philadelphia, Dallas and then New England again, it does not seem like things are headed to a place of getting better anytime soon.

Joe Caporoso with the three things you need to know about Jets vs. Browns on MNF…

Well, it has been a week.

The Browns have been projected to hit 9 wins this year, while the Jets are currently looking at a projection of around 7.5. It is early (PRE SEPTEMBER 20th) but the Jets are already in must-win mode against Cleveland. New York Jets Top Five – Ways To Beat Cleveland On MNF

Joe Belic with five ways for the New York Jets to beat the Cleveland Browns

I should have known Sam was in trouble when he showcased his dance moves on the field one afternoon during practice.  Here I was worried about whether or not the OL could protect Sam during the Monday night matchup, but instead, I should have been more concerned with who was guarding Sam from his own social game.  Nobody knows how Sam got mono, but it’s called “the kissing disease” for a reason.

Sam is out indefinitely, and this ailment might take a lot longer to heal than most would think.  While it’s conceivable he could play in a few weeks, I think it’s more realistic that Darnold will be out longer.  After doing some investigating on my own, I found that, in some instances, those who have contracted the virus didn’t feel “normal” until a year after the initial diagnosis, not to mention the first three months were pure misery.
