The Jets held their annual Green and White scrimmage last night at Rutgers University for the first time. And let me tell you, the fans did not disappoint, nearly filling out the bottom section. It may not have been an actual scrimmage per se but after some positional drills they did extend the 11 on 11 drills. Here we were able to get a taste of what the depth chart may look like for their first preseason game next Friday. There were plenty of players that produced for last night, but who were the guys that shined the most?

There are just about six weeks between the end of minicamp and when the rookies check in for training camp. During this time the players are studying their playbooks, training and getting some vacations in before it’s go time. With rookies checking in next week, football season is literally right around the corner.
Much will happen before the Jets face off against the Detroit Lions in their Week 1 matchup. There are cuts, preseason games, joint practices, etc. So let’s take a look at each key date this summer and what to expect on each.

The New York Jets have officially wrapped up training camp in Cortland and only have one more preseason game left on the schedule. Starters will sit this one out, leaving a lot of youngsters and soon to be cuts to play all four quarters (the “puke” game).
