Connor Rogers with power rankings for the New York Jets rookies…
While no conclusions or movement can be made from a minicamp, the Jets 2018 draft class (along with many rookie free agents) had the chance to work with the coaching staff for the first time over the last few days.
With a few potential starters in this year’s group there is a hope for quite a bit of instant impact, making the rookie power rankings more important than ever. Let’s reveal volume one of what should be a year long tracker.

The first preseason game has come and gone, showing us very little of what to expect from the New York Jets running backs. Chris Ivory, Joe McKnight, and Lex Hilliard did not play due to injuries. Mike Goodson’s GPS is still re-routing him as he struggles to find Cortland, which left the Jets with Bilal Powell, seventh round draft pick Tommy Bohanon, and mostly camp bodies to receive the bulk of carries. As the Jets entered Cortland, they had arguably one of the most questionable tight end units in the entire NFL. While their not fielding an All-Pr stocked unit, things are looking up after the first preseason game. With three new faces fighting for a spot on the roster at tight end, a former rugby player, a former wide out, and one of Sanchez’s high school teammates, the group is certainly packed with story lines.
