The New York Jets began draining the swamp today by releasing Nick Folk and Breno Giacomini. Both of these moves were expected and both players are likely to be replaced by internal options (Ross Martin and Brandon Shell, respectively). Getting younger and hopefully better at right tackle and kicker is nice but the Jets main focus this offseason and beyond needs to be improving at premium positions, namely quarterback, left tackle, cornerback and pass rusher.
