What Can New York Jets Take From This Year’s Super Bowl Teams?

Greg Armstrong with what the New York Jets can use from this year’s Super Bowl teams…

Just like with most professional sports leagues, the NFL is a copycat league. Teams take concepts from other teams or college teams and implement them into their organization looking to for an extra edge to hopefully reach the promised land of a Super Bowl. The New York Jets are in a position to completely change the trajectory of the franchise with this offseason and can improve their chances of a playoff (and hopefully Super Bowl) run in the near future with a few things from this years Super Bowl teams. New York Jets – Three Free Agents Who Should Be Brought Back

Michael Nania on three internal free agents the New York Jets should bring back in 2018

Most of the attention among New York Jets fans this offseason has gone towards the outside free agents the team should be targeting, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that considering the porous roster they currently have. However, there are a few key pieces from 2017 that are set to hit the market as well. With the extreme amounts of dough Mike Maccagnan and the regime in Florham Park are set to have, they have the wiggle room to play smart in negotiations with their in-house talent. Here are the three they should focus on bringing back:

New York Jets – The Kirk Cousins Question

Joe Caporoso breaks down the case for the New York Jets to sign Kirk Cousins this offseason…

The primary goal of the New York Jets offseason is to figure out the quarterback position. Mike Maccagan and Todd Bowles will not be here in 2019 if they do not find a satisfactory answer and the league’s third longest playoff drought will continue to drag along on a rope towed by journeymen castoffs and failed middled round picks. The first domino to fall in the quarterback chase will be Washington Redskins free agent Kirk Cousins, who is in line to become the highest paid player in the NFL when free agency opens. The debate about Cousins’ value and the intelligence of the Jets chasing him is going to be a staple of any offseason discussion around the team, so let’s break it down.

New York Jets – Three Positions To Target In Free Agency

Michael Nania with the three positions the New York Jets should focus on in free agency

At this point, you are probably well aware the New York Jets are primed to be one of the most cash-laden teams in this year’s free agency period. According to Spotrac, the Jets currently have the 4th-most cap space in the NFL, and with a few cuts could find themselves with upwards of $100 million at their fingertips to rebuild a roster that is in dire need of talent infusion.
