Joe Malfa with his weekly ranking of the top quarterbacks in college football
These quarterback trackers have been written under the impression the Jets would be a lock for a top-five pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. After a Thursday night demolition of the Bills, the Jets are 4-5 with a chance to enter the bye week at .500. They currently sit in position to have the No. 14 pick in the draft.
Wherever they end up — whether it is top-five, top-10, or even top-15 the way they have been playing — they will still have a shot at a franchise quarterback in a QB-heavy draft class, so Joe Malfa kept a close eye on the performances of college’s top quarterback prospects this week as he has throughout the season.
Here are the rankings ahead of Week 11:

Jared Scherl asks if the New York Jets are in NFL no man’s land?
On the Monday morning following the New York Jets week 8 loss, which dropped their record to 3-5, Seth Walder of ESPN Sports Analytics sent out this tweet: “Jets have an equal chance of reaching the playoffs and landing No. 1 overall pick. 0.1% chance for each.”
In other words, the Jets were in NFL limbo or no man’s land. With a Thursday night victory over the Buffalo Bills, the Jets’ chance of reaching the playoffs likely went up a bit, and their chance of landing the first overall pick likely went down significantly. But the point remains: the Jets are not quite good enough to be good, and not quite bad enough to be bad. So what are they? And what does this mean for the future?

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets
Despite a three game losing streak and facing a team widely considered a “playoff contender” the New York Jets dominated the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium tonight in a game that was not as close as the score indicated. This was a throwback 2009/2010 style Jets win, where they were carried on the backs of a dominant defensive effort and special teams performance, complemented by a power running game. They are now 4-5 on the season and remain on the outskirts of the wild card discussion in the AFC as they head into November.
