The New York Jets fell right into the trap game, and were beaten by the previously winless Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday 19-6. No rest for the weary, as they now welcome Tom Brady and the New England Patriots into MetLife for a game with huge division implications. The Jets need a win to go to 2-1 in the division and keep any chance they have of winning it this year alive. A sweep for the hated Patriots will put the Jets essentially 4 games back of them with 9 left to play, and will force the Jets to need to finish with an outright better record than New England in order to win the division and secure a home playoff game. Let’s become reacquainted with the New York Jets rival in Week 7’s version of Know Your Opponent

Staff Writer Dalbin Osorio breaks down the New York Jets Week 4 opponent, the Tennessee Titans
The New York Jets bounced back nicely after a tough division loss against New England, outplaying the Buffalo Bills for the majority of Sunday’s matchup. Don’t let the score fool you, the Jets handled the Bills and won the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball. If Vlad Ducasse and Kyle Wilson not committed 9 penalties amongst themselves, the final score might have looked much different. Now the Jets travel to Nashville, Tennessee to face the AFC South leading 2-1 Titans. Let’s get to know them a little better…
Staff Writer Dalbin Osorio overviews the New York Jets Week 3 opponent, the Buffalo Bills, in this week’s version of TOJ’s Know Your Opponent.
Off a heartbreaking loss to the vulnerable New England Patriots on Thursday night, the New York Jets have had 10 days to prepare for Doug Marrone and the Buffalo Bills. The story-lines are a-plenty: for sociological purposes, this will be the 2nd time in Bills history that two African American quarterbacks face off against each other. From a coaching standpoint, Rex Ryan gets to have his offense go against his protege’s defense, as Mike Pettine returns to the scene of some of his most famous leaks (no pun intended.) And, from a strictly football standpoint, both teams are 1-1 and looking to notch their first win in the division. Let’s get to know the opponent the Jets will be facing this Sunday.
Staff Writer Dalbin Osorio overviews the New York Jets Week 2 opponent, the New England Patriots
It is always a different feeling when we reach a week where the New York Jets and New England Patriots square off. This week will be further different because the days when Rex would “tug on Superman’s cape”, as well as the days when New England seems unbeatable are gone. Yes, the “Patriot Way” took some hits this offseason, with the arrest of Aaron Hernandez and the loss of Wes Welker. However, we at TOJ still picked the Pats to win the AFC East, namely because of one Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Junior. Let’s get to know this week’s opponent, an opponent we are all very familiar with.

Once the Tampa Bay Bucs and New York Jets completed their trade of Darrelle Revis, the Week 1 match-up took on a whole extra layer of meaning. What was once thought to be a battle between 2009 first round quarterbacks not named Matthew Stafford, was now morphed into the “Revis Bowl.” After a summer of beat writers with agendas ripping the team to shreds, the only thing that matters is upon us: a 1 PM kickoff on Sunday, September 8th at MetLife Stadium. Let’s get to know the opponent that will be lining up across from the New York Jets during Week 1.
