Initial Reaction – The New York Jets Won?

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 23-17 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers

The New York Jets ended their four game losing streak with a comeback victory against the now 1-12 San Francisco 49ers, 23-17 in overtime. Many will be frustrated with the win because of draft position but ultimately the Jets were probably locked in to picking between 4th and 6th anyway. This was an encouraging day for many of the younger players on the roster and hopefully will be a game for many of them to build off of going forward.

Initial Reaction – The New York Jets Tire Fire

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 41-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts

The New York Jets embarrassed themselves for the second time this season on Monday Night Football, losing to the Indianapolis Colts 41-10. This was a gutless, no show in front of an empty stadium, fully completing the circle back to where this team was two years ago. There is nothing positive to say about what transpired tonight, so let’s rip everybody!

Initial Reaction – Competitive Losers: Jets Fall 22-17 To Pats

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 22-17 loss to the New England Patriots

The New York Jets showed up today against the New England Patriots, more than you can say for them in many weeks this season. Despite having a chance to grab an upset, they fell late to the Patriots, 22-17 to drop their record to 3-8. There were bright moments but ultimately this loss demonstrated many of the team’s primary problems and why they are going to have a top ten pick this offseason.

Initial Reaction – Same Movie, New York Jets Lose To Miami

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 27-23 loss to the Miami Dolphins…

The New York Jets lost a chaotic, sloppy, disjointed game in Miami today, 27-23. This divisional loss should end any discussion of a potential run into relevant games this December as the Jets have put themselves in too big of a hole at 3-6 to do anything but play for pride and next season. Similar to most of their losses, there is plenty of blame to be spread around…

Initial Reaction – Two In A Row, Jets Wake Up In Second Half To Beat Browns

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 31-28 victory over the Cleveland Browns…

The New York Jets shook off an embarrassing first half in Cleveland to beat the Browns 31-28, their second win in a row. After sleepwalking to a 20-7 deficit, the Jets came out of the locker room as a different team, shutting down a porous Browns offense, forcing turnovers and making plays on offense. Nobody should be beating their chests about a victory over a 0-8 team but the Jets avoided embarrassing themselves by handling business for two quarters on the road…

Initial Reaction – Dead On Arrival, Jets Slaughtered In Primetime

Joe Caporoso on the New York Jets 28-3 loss to the Arizona Cardinals

The New York Jets never had a prayer tonight. You cannot overcome the worst starting quarterback in the NFL, particularly when you are one of the worst coached teams in the NFL. You cannot overcome it when you have no explosive plays in the running game. You cannot overcome it when you have an overrated, overpaid defensive line and secondary. This team didn’t have a final punch in them in primetime, instead they laid down and died.

Initial Reaction – New York Jets Out Classed By Superior Seahawks

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 27-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks…

The New York Jets fell to 1-3 today with a 27-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. In watching this game, it was clear Seattle had superior talent, an immensely superior quarterback and were a better coached team. The Seahawks are a perennial Super Bowl contender for a reason and this Jets team is nowhere near their level yet. This was a game that never really felt competitive and continued to expose ugly realities about the current state of this New York Jets team…

Initial Reaction – Dumpster Fire, FitzTragic Leads Pathetic Jets Effort

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 24-3 tire fire loss to the Kansas City Chiefs

The New York Jets had an opportunity for a statement victory in Kansas City today…that opportunity was drowned in a barrage of Ryan Fitzpatrick interceptions, six to be exact. The Jets JR Smith roller coaster ride of a quarterback was the worst version of himself today, putting together what is likely to be one of the worst performances of any quarterback this year, if not the worst. He finished 20/44 for 188 yards with 6 interceptions and 0 touchdowns. What else happened in a sobering reality check for the now 1-2 Jets?

Initial Reaction – New York Jets Ride Roller Coaster, Shut Down Rex’s Circus Tent

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 37-31 over the Buffalo Bills

The New York Jets are never going to make it easy, but they handled business tonight in Buffalo with a 37-31 victory. This was a roller coaster of a game but the team stabilized on both sides of the ball midway through the third quarter and ran an inferior Bills team off the field. All divisional wins are important, especially ones on the road during a short week. This was a big win for the Jets and one they can take plenty of learnings from in the next ten days while they prepare for the Kansas City Chiefs. Let’s quickly break it down…

Initial Reaction – One For The Taking, Jets Lose Winnable Game

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 23-22 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on opening day…

The New York Jets had the table set for an impressive opening season victory against a likely playoff team today but managed to fall short by a single point, 23-22. This one stings because the Jets were not out played or out classed by the Bengals but rather were frequent victims of their own mental errors and stubbornness…
