2018 NFL Best Bets Against the Spread – Week Ten

Jake Benaquisto with his week 10 NFL Best Bets…

If I ever bet on Todd Bowles and the Jets in any way again this season, please come to my house and punch me in the forehead. Despite that horrific game, I still managed to go 3-2 last week. Before I give my picks, here are a few thoughts on the NFL as we go into week 10.

  1. It’s no guarantee, but if the Steelers ever get back Le’Veon Bell, I think they’re the favorites to win the AFC. That offense was an absolute machine against the Panthers on Thursday.
  2. I’ve already reached the point of the season where I’m just rooting for the Jets to lose. As sad as it is, I don’t want there to be any reason for this front office and coaching staff to return. The Darnold injury is frustrating and I’ll root for him when he comes back, but wins do absolutely nothing for this team. It’s time to clean house and build a contender around your franchise QB.

New York Jets – Week 9 Secondary Breakdown

Ben DiNapoli with his breakdown of the New York Jets secondary heading into week 10…

In what was an all around ugly game, the Jets dropped their third straight, falling to the Dolphins 13-6. The offense struggled once again, but the defense did everything it could to keep the game close. As for the secondary, it certainly helped to face a team led by Brock Osweiler, as the group put forth their best performance in weeks, limiting Miami’s passing attack to 139 yards. The secondary did it without Trumaine Johnson, who will be returning in week 10 after missing five games due to a quad injury. (more…)

Clayton Smarslok with his weekly New York Jets coaching report card….

This was one of the more brutal games to watch in some time, and that is saying a lot. After the 13-6 loss against the Miami Dolphins in week nine, the Jets fall to 3-6 on the year, dropping three in a row. Frustration levels have risen to a season high from fans, players and coaches as the team looks to be fluttering.
