Initial Reaction – New York Jets Acquire 3rd Pick Overall from the Indianapolis Colts

Dalbin Osorio with initial reaction to the New York Jets trade up to the 3rd overall pick…

Adam Schefter just reported that the New York Jets have traded up from the 6th pick in the NFL Draft to the 3rd pick overall. The cost is as follows: the Jets swapped firsts, traded both of their seconds, and a second round pick last year. The third pick is worth 2200 points, with the 6th pick being worth 1600 points. That means the Jets, per the value chart, had to make up 600 points. Pick 37 was only worth 530 points, so they needed another 70 points. They threw in their other second, which was worth 410 points. Per the value chart, the Jets actually overpaid. However, they knew they needed to get up to the top 3 in order to have a legitimate shot at the player this franchise so desperately needs.

TOJ Pick Six: Veterans New York Jets Can Target Via Trade

Dalbin Osorio with a TOJ Pick Six of veteran trade targets for the New York Jets

Mike Maccagnan has acquired at least one veteran via trade in his three offseasons as General Manager of the New York Jets, and armed with a ton of cap space and a need for more picks it is possible that this year will not be any different. With that in mind, let’s take a look at six veterans that the Jets GM could look to acquire if he decides to bring in some veteran talent this offseason…

New York Jets Mock Draft – Post Super Bowl Edition

Dalbin Osorio with his first mock for the 2018 NFL Draft, outlining all of the New York Jets selections…

This morning, Matt Miller dropped his seven round mock draft and it opened up the floodgates to takes and takes and even more takes. It seemed like the appropriate time to draft my full seven round New York Jets mock draft, but as a counter to Miller’s work. This is how I would draft if the board broke the way Miller has it is breaking. Miller also completed his draft assuming the Jets land Kirk Cousins. I will do the same.
