Initial Reaction – The Worst Team In Football

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to another New York Jets blowout loss, this time to the San Francisco 49ers

I am writing this midway through the fourth quarter as the New York Jets trail 31-6 to the San Francisco 49ers. There may be a few more meaningless stats and developments but today was yet another game that was over in the first half. It was another game the Jets offense did nothing. It was another game their defense looked slow and unprepared. Injuries aren’t an excuse, the 49ers had more (No Jimmy G, No Bosa, No Ford, No Sherman, No Kittle, No Deebo). Playing against a good defense isn’t an excuse, as that is part of playing in the NFL. The Jets are historically incompetent thus far this season and have looked every bit of being the worst team in the NFL…by a wide margin.

Initial Reaction – Why Would You Think Anything Changed? Bills Crush Jets To Open Season

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets

The New York Jets decided continuity was important for quarterback Sam Darnold heading into year three, at least when it came to coaching. Head Coach Adam Gase was brought back as the de facto Offensive Coordinator, Dowell Loggains was brought back as the Offensive Coordinator but as the de facto Quarterbacks Coach, a position the Jets left officially vacant again. They were going to run the same system and trust more time would make it better and hope in year five that Gase and his system would finally click together and work wonders for Darnold…

New York Jets – The 2020 Season Preview & 30 Pack Of Predictions

Joe Caporoso with a season preview for the 2020 New York Jets and a 30 pack of predictions for the team…

Somehow, someway the NFL is back. In what is likely to be one of the most unique seasons in league history, the New York Jets will continue their quest to snap a mind numbing playoff drought, which is on pace to hit a full decade post 2020. Expectations are not any higher than they were last season due mostly to an unpopular, consistently mediocre Head Coach and a roster that appears in many spots to be in transition. Can the Jets exceed expectations or will 2020 just be another brick in the endless rebuild?
