New York Jets Loss Vent – Week 7 vs. Minnesota Edition

Joe Caporoso with a week 7 loss vent on the New York Jets 37-17 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings…

“It’s not like they came in here and just smacked us,” Lee said of the Vikings. “It’s nothing to sit here and hit the panic button about. We’re fine. No one is worried or panicking here. We’re fine as a group. We’re a lot more close-knit [than last year].

“I know in a couple years past, since I’ve been here, the wheels have fallen off and all hell would break loose. But we’re fine, and no one is panicking here. We weren’t as close-knit as a group as we are now. Nobody has got their head hanging down.”  – New York Jets ILB Darron Lee after yesterday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings

Initial Reaction – Not Enough Juice, Vikings Outclass Jets 37-17

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 37-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings…

Despite being undermanned on both sides of the football, particularly with a recent rash of injuries, the New York Jets had opportunities to potentially steal a game against a superiorly talented Minnesota Vikings team. Unfortunately, they did not take advantage of those opportunities and the Vikings finally broke through in the second half to slam their foot down on the gas pedal en route to a runaway 37-17 victory. It is not overly surprising the Jets lost this game by double digits but it was frustrating to see them make mistakes that had nothing to do with the talent disparity.

Initial Reaction – Two In A Row, New York Jets Roll Colts In Shootout

Joe Caporoso with initial reaction to the New York Jets 42-34 win over the Indianapolis Colts…

The New York Jets moved their record back to .500 today with a convincing 42-34 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. This was a game filled with big plays and receivers running wide open down the field for both offenses. The Jets defense spent the afternoon bending but not breaking and making massive plays that compensated for the yardage and points they let Andrew Luck compile. Offensively, Sam Darnold built on last week’s strong performance and outside of a first half interception played a nearly flawless game. Jets fans should be encouraged by the team handling business at home in back to back weeks and for seeing their team exceed 30 points three times in Sam Darnold’s first six games.
