Jake Benaquisto gives his Best Bets for week 14 of the NFL season…
Week 13 Recap: Went 4-1 on my picks and my season record is now 35-30. I could have easily gone 5-0, but instead I had to watch Geno Smith lead the Giants to a backdoor cover against the Raiders. I’m not mad, Geno, I’m just disappointed.
Week 12 Recap: Back to mediocrity after going 2-3 on my picks. My season record is now 31-29, but I think I’m due for a hot streak that could start with these picks.

Week 1o Recap: A second consecutive 2-3 week. My record for the season is now 25-25, so I need a big week to get back above .500.

Week 9 Recap: I went 2-3, and my record for the season is now 23-22. This week, I’m going against the grain on a couple picks by taking two underdogs to win outright.

Week 8 Recap: Back in business! After an awful week 7, I went 4-1 ATS last week and my record is now 21-19. I would have gone 5-0 if Travis Benjamin on the Chargers didn’t run 10 yards backwards on a punt return to give the Patriots two easy points and the cover.

Week 7 Recap: Not very fun. I went 0-5, which puts my record at 17-18 for the season. I knew that when I had to root for Andy Dalton to come back against the Steelers, I probably deserved to lose.

Week 6 Recap: Fourth winning week in a row. 3-2 last week, and now I’m 17-13 against the spread for the season. There’s only a handful of decent games this week, but regardless I’ll spend my entire Sunday watching football. (more…)

Week 5 Recap: My third winning week in a row. I went 3-2 again, so my record now stands at 14-11. This week, I’m going NFC heavy on my picks and am hoping that the Rams don’t let me down again.

Week 4 Recap: Another winner! I went 3-2 on my picks, but I should have gone 2-3 if it wasn’t for an incredible back door cover by the Chiefs. My record is now 11-9, which I can’t complain about in an NFL season where the Rams and Bills are actually good.
