TOJ Tweet Summary 2018, Week 15 – Jets vs. Texans

Dan Essien recaps the Jets week 15 matchup against the Houston Texans with #JetsTwitter

The Jets were coming off a feel good win against the Bills straight into a Saturday matchup against the Houston Texans at home. With plenty of star power on the other sidelines, the Jets had their hands full in this one. Let’s go through this game with the intellectual stylings of #JetsTwitter.

1st Half

The Jets got the ball first but quickly the Texans star defensive players made their presence known.

On the Texans first possession, Deshaun Watson was able to move the ball down the field a bit but they had to settle for a field goal after Henry Anderson got his big day started.

The Jets got the ball back and finally got things going with Sam Darnold, getting into the redzone with a 7 minute drive. Unfortunately, they had to settle for a field goal to make it 3-3.

This campaign died later…

On the Texans next drive they returned the field goal favor after a 10 play, 60 yard drive, to take a 6-3 lead.

Jets got the ball back and…wait what’s that? A wave of sadness?

Yup, somehow that fumble, too, was Bowles fault…

Shortly after…WATSON

They were impressed in Brazil…

Wait…how do you know about #TOT??

After the Texans extended their lead, the Jets went 3 and out on their next drive, and gave the ball back to the Texans. Watson then led them into field goal range where Ka’imi Fairbairn extended their lead to 16-3.

Funny you should say that PSUJoel (no relation?)

On the next Jets drive, STARNOLD started cooking..

Then oddly after the touchdown…

2nd Half

The Texans got the ball to start the second half and Henry Anderson was still in Mario star mode.

Calvin Pace FOREVER

The Jets got the ball back looking to tie things up. Enter: King Ginger

Then…no…no it can’t be…Jason nooooo!!!

Cut is a strong word…and action.

Lol I don’t even know what this means…

Things turned quick…

Both teams trade punts twice before the Texans were able to getting something going on offense, driving into the red zone. But then on a third and 3 from the Jets’ 17 yard line…

Jets got the ball back with another chance to take the lead with a touchdown. Darnold locked back in.

I’m concerned…

The Texans. The Texans are. On the next drive directly following the Jets taking the lead…

Jets tried to respond on the following drive but…

Post Game

It was a Jets loss, but the ever growing tank faction of the fanbase were living their best life.
