Welcome back to another edition of the Turn On The Jets 12 Pack. Make sure to check out our store at The Loyalist!
– Sam Darnold will throw for 196 yards, 1 touchdown and have 1 turnover while orchestrating a fairly conservative game plan. He will complete 63% of his passes and have a YPA of 6.5. Darnold will be sacked twice and rush for 20 yards.
– Mitch Trubisky will throw for 205 yards, run for 40 yards, throw 1 touchdown and have 2 turnovers. Most of Trubisky’s damage in the passing game will come from big gains on short screens where the receiver/running back breaks multiple tackles. The Jets will sack Trubisky twice.
– Isaiah Crowell will have 65 yards rushing and 20 yards receiving. Trenton Cannon will have 30 yards rushing and 20 yards receiving before giving way to Elijah McGuire, who will return next week against the Dolphins.
– Jordan Howard will rush for 65 yards and a touchdown. Tarik Cohen will have 95 total yards of offense and a touchdown. The Bears will be effective with their ground attack for most of the afternoon.
– Jermaine Kearse will have 4 receptions for 45 yards after laying a goose egg last week. Rishard Matthews will play at least 10 snaps and catch a pair of passes in his Jets debut.
– Taylor Gabriel will lead the Bears in receiving yards. Allen Robinson will have a relatively quiet day on the outside.
– Chris Herndon will have at least 3 receptions for over 40 yards. Eric Tomlinson will play substantially less snaps than he did last week. Neal Sterling will catch at least two passes. Jordan Leggett will not catch any passes.
– Brandon Copeland will record a sack for the second week in a row. It will be a relatively quiet game for the second week in a row for Leonard Williams. Jordan Jenkins’ quiet season will continue.
– Andre Roberts will have one big return that directly sets up Jets points. Jason Myers will be 100% on his kicks and make multiple field goals.
– Darron Lee and Jamal Adams will each have a half sack. Adams will have 7 tackles, 2 TFLs and 1 pass defensed. He will also force a Trubisky fumble.
– New York Jets inactive list: Quincy Enunwa, Marcus Maye, Foley Fatukasi, Derrick Jones, Robby Anderson, Spencer Long, Trumaine Johnson.
– The Jets and Bears will play a competitive, defensive game featuring multiple turnovers. This game will hit the under and the Jets will cover narrowly (8 point underdogs) but fail to upset the Bears in a 24-17 loss.
