1 -Sam Darnold will throw for 220 yards, 1 touchdown1 and have 0 turnovers. He will complete 67% of his passes, run for 15 yards and be sacked one time. He will have a 7.5 YPA.
2 – Ryan Tannehill will throw for 190 yards, 1 touchdown and have 1 interception. He will complete 65% of his passes, run for 20 yards and be sacked three times. He will have a 6.8 YPA. Jets fans will leave the game feeling very content that Darnold is their quarterback of the future and not a middling starter like Tannehill.
3 – Kenyan Drake will have 90 yards of offense for the Dolphins and score a touchdown. Frank Gore will rush for 50 yards or less, as they split lead back duties.
4 – Quincy Enunwa will lead the Jets in receptions for the second week in a row, finishing with 5 receptions for 70 yards. Robby Anderson will score another touchdown on a pass of 20 yards or longer. Jermaine Kearse will have a pair of receptions in his return to the lineup. Terrelle Pryor will play slightly less than last week but still have 2 catches.
5 – Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell will each have between 12-15 touches on offense. Powell will score his first touchdown of the season. Crowell will have one run over 20 yards.
6 – Jakeem Grant and Danny Amendola will do more damage against the Jets secondary than Kenny Stills. Amendola will score a touchdown.
7 – Trumaine Johnson will improve on a shaky week one performance and record an interception for the second week in a row, this time he will not fumble on his return. Doug Middleton will continue to hold his own as a replacement for Marcus Maye.
8 – The Jets defense will record their first three sacks of the season with Buster Skrine, Henry Anderson and Darron Lee all getting on the board with one. Jamal Adams will have another TFL and pass defensed.
9 – The Jets will play a solid game on special teams for the second week in a row. Jason Myers will make his only field goal attempt and make all his extra points. Andre Roberts will have one punt return for over 10 yards.
10 – Neal Sterling, Nathan Shepherd and Chris Herndon will all play slightly less reps than they did in week one.
11 – The Jets inactive list: Josh Martin, Marcus Maye, Foley Fatukasi, Derrick Jones, Dakota Dozier, Juston Burris, Neville Hewitt
12 – The Jets will win and cover as 2.5 favorites in their home opener with a 24-21 victory, moving to 2-0 on the season with the Cleveland Browns on deck this Thursday.
