NFL Draft Late Round Targets

We reviewed mid round targets last week. Now let’s look at names the Jets could consider in rounds 5 through 7.

Round 5

  • Roc Thomas, RB – A strong collection of physical traits, which makes him look the part of a day two pick, rather than a day three pick. Thomas has the potential to be a solid change of pace, potential home run back.

Round 6

  • Trevon Young, Edge – A pass rusher flier who struggled with injuries in college but flashed when healthy towards the end of last season.

Round 7

  • Christian Campbell, CB – A corner with length and size, who is more technically sound than most day three prospects at this position. The Jets should still be looking for depth and competition at corner.
  • Marcus Baugh, TE – A prospective big target in the passing game who has potential to contribute as a situational red-zone target, especially with how thin the Jets are at tight end right now.

All Time Great Cereal Of The Week

Oreo O’s!

I can’t seem to find these anywhere in NYC, which is highly problematic. There is nothing better than passing off this bowl of sugary chocolate magic as breakfast. Let’s give a pat on the back to whoever was dipping their Oreos into a glass of milk one day and decided to convert that process into an entire bowl of that action.

What Do I Watch Now?

Paterno, HBOAl Pacino does a nice job here portraying former Penn State coach Joe Paterno in this movie that focuses around the breaking Sandusky story and his subsequent firing because of it. This is a disturbing and frustrating watch but it is worth your time.

Who Do I Read Now?

Countdown City, Ben Winters – I wrote a few weeks back about The Last Policeman, which is the first book in this apocalyptic, mystery trilogy. The second book is just as good, if not better, than the first. This is another one you will rip right through following a police officer tracking a missing person case as an asteroid bears down on Earth.

Quarterback NFL Draft Predictions

  • Cleveland – Sam Darnold
  • Jets – Josh Rosen
  • Broncos – Baker Mayfield
  • Bills – Josh Allen
  • Chargers – Lamar Jackson
  • Ravens – Mason Rudolph
  • Patriots – Kyle Lauletta
