Turn On The Jets NFL Mock Draft Aggregator Buffet

Joe Caporoso with thoughts on recent NFL mock drafts in this week’s Buffet presented by Razer Sport…

Every Wednesday or Thursday during the NFL season (and offseason), Joe Caporoso will break down the upcoming week of NFL action. Unfasten the belts and prepare to gorge on another weekend of fandom, fantasy, gambling, tweeting, cheering, complaining…and complaining.

NFL Mock Draft Aggregation

Shout out to Matt Lownes who has aggregated all of these mock drafts to show who everybody has the New York Jets taking with the third overall pick. Over 50 mock drafts are included and every single one has the Jets taking either Josh Allen, Josh Rosen or Baker Mayfield (except for Jason McIntyre who has them taking Sam Darnold). This makes sense considering it is hard to fathom any scenario where the Jets are not taking one of the Allen, Rosen, Mayfield trio. As it stands today, I am only confident saying one thing about the Jets draft plans: They are 100% taking a quarterback. I think if Josh Rosen is on the board, they will 100% take him but that is really just a guess. I want them to take Baker Mayfield if Rosen is gone instead of Allen but that may be wishful thinking. I really believe it is a coin flip between those two if Rosen is gone.

All of this means there is far too much anxiety around this Giants pick at #2.  They SHOULD pick a quarterback but it sounds like they are strongly considering passing on one. They could trade the pick to a more quarterback desperate team or they can make Jets fans very happy by staying put and taking an offensive lineman or a running back. As it stands now, who the hell knows what they are thinking? This is a team who is considering trading Odell ‘Freakin Beckham.

Over the next 28 days, I’d expect to see about an even split of mocks with the Jets taking Rosen, Mayfield or Allen which is reasonable because if you asked me today there is about an equal 33% of chance of the Jets ending up with each of them.

Under Appreciated Snack Of The Week

Cadbury Eggs!

Easter is on the way this weekend, which is a convenient early spring excuse to completely gorge your face off on food. My wife’s Uncle is a member of Winged Foot Country Club and they have this MASSIVE, over the top buffet every year that we have been able to tag along on for a few years. I eat like I’m fresh out of prison when there, stacking breakfast sandwiches on top of lobsters and crab legs, while stuffing rolls in my pocket. Unfortunately, we will not be going this year (maybe because I eat like a savage when present and I always pass on playing golf with everybody because I’m awful)…ANYWAY, cadbury eggs are terrific and should be eaten year round, not just on Easter. I plan to eat plenty of them this weekend, wherever we end up going to a buffet.

What Do I Watch Now?

Barry, HBO – HBO is on a roll with their 30 minute comedies (make sure to check out Crashing as well). Thank god because we need to buy time until Game Of Thrones gets back. Bill Hader is great in this somewhat dark comedy, that is a unique change of pace from most other 30 minute shows out there right now.

Who Do I Read Now?

Making Nice, Matt Smell – A very random, strange collection of stories from a first time author about a bizarre, anxiety ridden guy from Long Island. If you like outside the box fiction from both a tone and style standpoint, this will be right up your alley.
