TOJ Tweet Summary Week 10 – Jets vs. Buccaneers

Daniel Essien with a #JetsTwitter Summary on the New York Jets week 10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers…

The Jets were riding high into week 10 after stomping out the Bills at home. They traveled to Tampa Bay hoping to keep the good times rolling and bring their record up to 5-5. But things definitely did not turn out as they hoped. #JetsTwitter tells the story.

Jets fans were focused and positive heading into this matchup with Tampa Bay.

Unfortunately, the bigger problem was with the Jets and the fact that they were on the road…

1st Half

The first three drives of the game between both teams, were a total of 10 plays for 16 yards, and 3 punts.

The earth knew…

Then the Bucs put together a ridiculously torturous 17 play drive that resulted in a field goal to take a 3-0 lead.

Yeah…they didn’t…

Jets defense forced a 3 and out to give the ball back to the offense and then…

He meant a run with Powell on 1st and 20…but then the alternative…

The defense gets the ball back literally on the next play because Fitzpatrick…

Surely the Jets offense would get going now, right? RIGHT?!

Jets defenses forces ANOTHER three and out and this time the offense gets the ball back and does something. They match the Bucs with a 7 minute, 16 play drive that ends in a field goal to finish the first half…what a game…

2nd Half

Bucs drove down and took the lead with a field goal to start the second half. Then the Jets offense took over looking to answer with a drive of their own…

Defenses takes just under a minute and a half to force a punt and get the ball back for the offense and then…

Jets defense ups the ante again! This time they take only 51 seconds to force the Bucs to punt. This time on offense…

The Jets defense this time bends a bit but still holds the Bucs to just a field goal after that catastrophic turnover. The Jets offense get the ball and 😴😴😴

Eventually, because they’re human, the Jets defense lost its hold on the Bucs offense and Tampa Bay was able to drive for a touchdown to take a 15-3 lead and essentially ended the game there.

After that, from the following drive to post game, it was a familiar waterfall of sadness, with a Robby Anderson TD in between. Instead of getting to .500, The Jets fell to 4-6 with a 15-10 loss to Tampa Bay.

Well the Browns are basically a Reese’s Senior Bowl team so this is fair…

This kid gets it…
