TOJ Tweet Summary continues with week 8 as the Jets faced off against the Atlanta Falcons. Coming off two straight losses, the Jets were hoping to get back on track against a Falcons team that has struggled this season. Once again, we go through #JetsTwitter to see how this game went.

1st Half

In what seems like its becoming a trend, the Jets offense started off quick with a touchdown on the opening drive.

Falcons got the ball back but could only hold on for a few plays until…

Jets got the ball with ideal field position at the 34. Then…

Falcons followed up that missed field goal by driving down the field and scoring on a 1 yard TD from Matt Ryan to Austin Hooper.

After a Jets punt, the Falcons got the ball with a chance to take the lead. But once again…

Jets got another gift, this time their offense starting at the 20…they managed -5 net yards and a field goal.

In Portuguese

Falcons followed that up with a field goal of their own to tie things back up 10-10. Then, after trading punts, the Jets got a drive going and that 1st half McCown to Anderson magic showed up once again.

On the following drive, the Falcons were able to get points before the half to make a 17-13 lead for the Jets at the half.

2nd Half

The second half started with a great start by the Jets defense and Lachlan Edwards but a horrendous start by the offense.

Mo Claiborne got hurt and then immediately this happened…

After the Falcons cut the lead to one, the Jets were driving trying to extends their lead. The drive stalled after McCown took a sack on third down that pushed them back to the 30. Then on the field goal try…

Then on the very first play of the ensuing Falcons drive…

Falcons then scored on a touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Mohamed Sanu.

Jets followed this up with a decent drive but it again stalled after getting behind the chains. Catanzaro added a field goal to make it 22-20. On the following Falcons drive, the Jets defense stood stall and forced a punt. Jets had a chance to get the ball back and take back the lead. But instead…

Somehow the Jets defense held the Falcons to a field goal to make it 25-20.
Jets offense failed to get a first down on the next drive. Then the defense was able to force a punt but the Jets offense got the ball back with 1:07 left, no timeouts, and a chance to win!…But yeah McCown’s the starting quarterback so…

Post Game

Fans were upset. For some it was a reality check but for others it was about the tank.
