Stock Up, Stock Down: Week 4 vs Jags

Kyle Fahey with a stock report on the New York Jets after their week 4 win over Jacksonville

In the most Jets way possible…. Gang Green got the “dub” against the Jaguars…

Stock Up: Elijah McGuire, Kony Ealy, Marcus Maye

Elijah McGuire: The Rajun Running back put up quite the performance in his outing today. Ten rushes for 93 yards, fetching himself a 9.3 yard average per run and a impressive TD run that showed his speed, cut ability, and strength. McGuire flashed in the preseason and in week two against the Raiders, the rookie is now taking major steps as a pro. Let’s hope this is another Magic Mike late round find.

Kony Ealy: Kony Ealy should be receiving his game ball right about now for his performance in week four. He changed the landscape of the game  by forcing the Jags offense to avoid his catchers mitt of a hand that batted down 4 passes, one of which was intercepted. Another great find by Macc, I know the Sith Lord up in Foxborough regrets this cut.

Marcus Maye: Forgive me if im wrong but im pretty sure Maye made every tackle today. In reality he made five but…Maye’s presence was felt all over the field. In 32 coverage snaps he wasn’t targeted once according to PFF. Considering this is his fourth NFL game and he was facing a deep Jacksonville WR core, big win for the rookie!

Stock Down: Lachlan Edwards, Chandler Catanzaro, Matt Forte

Lachlan Edwards: Lach really hurt us towards the end of the game. His shanked punts continue to put the Jets defense in trouble when they’re already vulnerable. He needs to figure things out, quickly.

Chandler Catanzaro: The “Kick Cat” nearly cost the Jets the game. His missed field goal was a big reason the Jets even needed an OT to win. Take away his game winner and every Jets fan is cursing him out on twitter.

Matt Forte:

Bilal Powell: Look at me

Matt Forte: Sure

Bilal Powell: Look at me

Matt Forte: Sure

Bilal Powell: I’m the captain now
