The writing is on the wall for the New York Jets in 2017. With one of the worst rosters in the league (arguably the worst), Gang Green is pretty much a lock to land a top-five pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The organization has been searching for a true franchise QB for decades, and it appears to be a good year to be bad.
The 2018 draft class is QB-heavy, with three top prospects that have scouts salivating: Sam Darnold (USC), Josh Rosen (UCLA) and Josh Allen (Wyoming).
One of these three players may receive a phone call from Mike Maccagnan on the night of April 26, so you might want to watch a few games and familiarize yourselves with the potential future of the Jets’ franchise.
Here is a guide to each of these QB’s biggest games of 2017:
Sam Darnold (USC)
September 9 vs. Stanford (FOX – 8:30 p.m.)
September 16 vs. Texas (FOX – 8:30 p.m.)
September 29 @ Washington St. (ESPN – 10:30 p.m.)
October 21 @ Notre Dame (NBC – 7:30 p.m.)
November 18 vs. UCLA (TBD)
Josh Rosen (UCLA)
September 3 vs. Texas A&M (FOX – 7:30 p.m.)
September 23 @ Stanford (TBD)
September 30 vs. Colorado (TBD)
October 28 @ Washington (TBD)
November 18 @ USC (TBD)
Josh Allen (Wyoming)
September 2 @ Iowa (Big Ten Network – 12:00 p.m.)
September 16 vs. Oregon (CBS Sports Network 7:00 p.m.)
October 21 @ Boise State (TBD)
I will be monitoring these QBs, along with other top QBs from this loaded class, throughout the season. You can find my weekly report card of these prospects right here on TOJ.
As of today, what quarterback would you prefer the most?
