Straight Up Picks
Atlanta (-5) vs. Seattle – I’m not excited about Seattle because they beat a crappy Lions team at home. The Falcons have the offensive weapons to exploit a secondary that has issues without Earl Thomas and a pass rusher in Vic Beasley who will give Seattle’s offensive problems all afternoon long. Falcons – 30, Seahawks – 24
New England (-15.5) vs. Houston – I am not sure you can make this line high enough. I’d like to think Houston can pull off a miracle upset but Brock Osweiler in the cold on the road does not inspire confidence. Patriots – 34, Houston – 10Kansas City (-1.5) vs. Pittsburgh – Should be a battle but Ben Roethlisberger has been throwing a solid 3-5 passes that should be intercepted each game the past few weeks. Kansas City will feast on that, be able to make their share of plays against the Steelers defense and win the special teams battle. Chiefs – 27, Steelers – 21
Green Bay (+4.5) at Dallas – A little too high of a spread in a game that should come down to the final possession. Zeke Elliot has a monster game and does just enough to help Dallas outscore Aaron Rodgers. Cowboys – 30, Packers – 28
