The latest at our Turn On The Jets YouTube channel from Kevin BauerA little preview of what to expect from the Jets three headed attack at running back in 2014. Any nicknames for Chris Ivory, Chris Johnson and Bilal Powell? How about predictions for their statistical production this season?

I’ll include specific predictions in our annual kickoff 30 pack but I do think Ivory will lead the team in rushing yards, Johnson will catch 40+ passes and lead all running backs in total offensive yards, while Powell will average 10-15 snaps per game and still maintain a valuable role in the team’s offense. The Jets are going to run early and often this season, along with frequently target Johnson and Powell in the passing game.

During this NFL season if you are looking to wager on the action, make sure you protect yourself. There are countless reasons you should bet at a safe gambling site for all 2014 football and sports action. Choose wisely!

  • I have been ecstatic watching CJ this Spring. I can’t remember a Jets starting RB who has shown such speed – inside and out – and pass catching ability. What a difference he will make. A certainty for 1300+ total yards and maybe even 1000+ running alone.

Having Ivory in on the same downs – mama mia! Maybe it’s me but he looked faster than ever in that Giants game.

Having said all that, Powell is the guy who at season’s end might have been the most valuable back. He is reliable, determined and racks up major yardage up the gut. He may not be the best back in terms of talent but he’s a #1 gamer.

If we can get ahead in most games it is hard to predict just how many years this backfield will total over the season.
