TOJ New York Jets Link Dump – July 28th, 2014

The New York Jets are off from practice today but we’ll still be plugging along with coverage. Check back in a few hours for our weekly No Huddle piece and then later throughout the day for more content…

– Shortly after we found out about Calvin Pryor’s concussion, we found out that Jace Amaro has a little injury of his own. These guys need to get back on the field and stay on the field in order to develop prior to their rookie seasons. (RS)

– While Pryor and Amaro may be lost for a couple days, Willie Colon is back. He came of the PUP list and practiced for the first time yesterday. (NYJ)

– Here are 12 observations from Sunday’s practice. (NJ)

– Here are some more notes from Sunday’s practice. (ESPN)

– Here are some early observations from the first few days of training camp. (B/R)

– There are many similarities between the 2014 Jets defense and the 2007 Giants defense. Let’s hope the season can end the same way. (TJP)

– Between Geno predicting he’ll be a top five QB (did the other 31 QBs go missing?) and Dee Milliner declaring he’s the best CB in the league (when did Sherman, Revis, Peterson, Haden, and many others retire?), the Jets are definitely not lacking in the confidence department. Dmitri Patterson made a declaration of his own yesterday; It was not anywhere near as bold as the statements of Geno or Milliner, but he let us know how confident he is in his playing ability. (ESPN)

How are you feeling about the Jets defense against Matt Schaub in week one?
