It’s not that Cimini is harsh. It’s that he a smarmy, smart alex jerk. If he would read this site he would know more about the team than he does. He used to have contacts, but he burned all those bridges. Now he needs to rely on his football knowledge, and film study…yeah right. Can’t say that with a straight face.

Cimini does not write for hardcore fans, but for people who follow the team. His writing is bad and full of snark, but he is good at identifying the stories most people want to read about and the angle most would agree with. This is hard to accept for most hardcore fans that generally want to hear about the silver lining. Cimini is how most in NY/NJ think about the Jets.

Cimini is the guy that everyone loves to hate. A lot of what he writes frustrates and annoys me, but he is a good source of info. And although he may be annoying, it is good to get a perspective free of “homer” bias. With all that being said, it was good to read today’s blog post, in which he admitted that the Jets have a shot at being special if Geno takes the next step in his development. I absolutely agree. I have been impressed by Geno’s attitude, and I think he may really develop into the QB that we have needed for a long time. Too early to tell, but if he steps it up, we could become a very good team.
