TOJ New York Jets Link Dump – July 14th, 2014

Joe Malfa with a TOJ New York Jets Link Dump for July 14th, 2014

Just another Monday closer to the NFL season kicking off. You can practically smell Doug’s Fish Fry in Cortland by this point, New York Jets fans…

See a Jets read you think should be linked here? Leave it in the comment section or Tweet it over to Joe Malfa or Joe Caporoso

– Let’s start off the day with our dear friend Rich Cimini. Here is his take on the Jets’ QB situation. (ESPN)

– If you didn’t like Cimini’s take on the QB situation or didn’t click the link at all because you saw the name “Rich Cimini,” here’s another take on the QB situation. (SI)

– If Geno Smith wins the job, he will be under a lot of pressure to perform well. There are a lot of anti-Geno fans who will be calling for his head if he is bad or even average, but that’s New York. (RS)

– At this time last year, multiple preseason power rankings had the Jets dead last. After a surprisingly good 2013 season and adding key skill players on offense, the Jets won’t be dead last in any of this year’s preseason power rankings. They came in at 19th on Pro Football Talk’s list, and 14th on Sports Illustrated’s list. (PFT and SI)

– Here are a few players to keep an eye on as camp starts, because they may perform well and end up playing key roles on the team. (B/R)

– WIth Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson receiving all of the attention on the defensive line, Damon “Snacks” Harrison tends to be unjustly overlooked. (SI)
