TOJ Week 17 NFL Gambling Advice and Picks

This is a sad day as the NFL regular season comes to a close. No more fantasy football, no more tons of games to bet on every week, and for most fans, no more watching your favorite team play for the next nine months. But that doesn’t mean we can’t end this season with a bang and make some money right? Let’s get to it…

Jaguars +11 @ Colts – The Colts are pretty set into their playoff position, and while the Jags technically have nothing to play for, they have been playing hard throughout the season and I’m sure they’d like to finish strong and put forth a solid performance in Indy. I’ll take the points.

Jets +6.5 @ Dolphins – No brainer here. The Jets are going to play as hard as they possibly can for Rex Ryan and you know full well he is going to use all of those Pro Bowl snubs for extra motivation. Do you think Rex may have mentioned once or twice to the team that nobody believes in them or thinks they are good enough? Yeah, I think he may have. Jets keep this one close and win this one outright.

Lions -1 @ Vikings – Sure, the Lions are horrible underachievers and blew their entire season last week, but for some reason I can see them blowing the Vikings away this week. That would just be a very Lions thing to do; once they’re eliminated then show up and dominate. I’m laying the point here.

Texans +7 @ Titans – Ugh, are you serious with this game? I guess take the points.

Browns +7.5 @ Steelers – Love this game. The Steelers are a pretty bad team that for some reason is still alive and has a chance to make the playoffs. The Browns would like nothing better than to knock their rival out and end their season. I don’t think they’ll win, but I do think they’ll keep this one close. Oh… and JOSH GORDON!!!

Giants -3.5 vs. Redskins – I’m looking forward to seeing what Mike Shanahan does today in his finale as Redskins head coach. Anything is on the table here. He might moon one of the refs, or rip off his jacket to reveal a shirt that says “F U Snyder”, or maybe even slap RG3 in the face. I’m excited.

Ravens +6.5 @ Bengals – Wow, this line feels like 3 points too high, doesn’t it? Yes, I know Joe Flacco stinks and these Ravens are not nearly as good as last year’s squad, but come on! It’s the Bengals and Andy Dalton. Not only do I think the Ravens keep this one close, I think they’re going to win the game and go on to make the playoffs.

Falcons +6 vs. Panthers – Just a hunch here. I can see the Panthers having a bit of a letdown game here in Atlanta but still pulling out the win.

Bears +3 vs. Packers – I know Aaron Rodgers is back, but this is still the same crappy Packers team, right? Neither one of these teams can play defense whatsoever, so I’m taking the home team getting the points in this one. But I still hate the Bears very much for what they did to me last Sunday night. Screw them.

Bills +7.5 @ Patriots – Seems like a lot of points.

Saints -11 vs. Bucs – Blow Out City here. And this will mark a sad day in the NFL. It’s our last chance to bet against the legend, Greg Schiano. Savor this moment, people.

Raiders +11.5 vs. Broncos – Nobody really knows what the Broncos will do here in terms of resting players and whatnot, so I’m gonna take the points here. Then again, Peyton will probably stay in long enough to break the passing yards record, so Broncos first half may be a nice bet.

Cardinals -2.5 vs. 49ers – Love the Cards in this spot. They have everything to play for today and the 49ers don’t. Motivation is everyone today. Lay the points.

Chargers -8 vs. Chiefs – This line tells you to take the Chargers. KC is going to rest everyone, so don’t be tricked.

Rams +13 @ Seahawks – Way too many points.

Cowboys +6.5 vs. Eagles – Oddly enough, I think Kyle Orton is going to play really well and the Cowboys are going to win. Stranger things have happened, right?
