New York Jets vs. Atlanta Falcons – Halftime Report

The Jets were initially expected to be blown out of the building in Atlanta tonight, but Geno and co. have come out on a mission…

Air-Geno!

-Geno Smith was 8/9 for over 130 yards and two touchdowns. The most impressive stat from his performance tonight: No turnovers.

Make-shift Receiving Core

-Jeff Cumberland already has 79 yards on 3 catches and a huge touchdown on 3rd and long. Jeremy Kerley broke a tackle to find his way into the endzone on Geno’s second touchdown pass. Mike Goodson has had a nice debut breaking off a long run and showing reliable hands in the passing game.

The “Pack of Wolves”

-John Gruden called the Jets defensive line a “pack of wolves.” A hilarious nick name, but wow does it fit well. Sheldon Richardson is challenging Muhammad Wilkerson for best player on this defense. Both are beating the blockers, making the run game non existent. Kenrick Ellis also made a phenomenal play in the back field, notching a tackle for a loss.
